Piédalu is a farmer who prides himself on his common
sense. Convinced that he has the answer to his country's
difficulties, he leaves his little village and sets out for Paris, to
present his latest brainwave to the Minister of National
Renovation. Alas, hardly anyone is prepared to listen to him and
so it seems he has had a wasted journey. Then he meets a
well-known actress and is convinced that she comes from his part of the
world...
