Film Synopsis

Because of the company he keeps, Jake Green, an inveterate gambler and fraudster, ends up serving a seven year stretch in prison instead of the dangerous mobster boss Dorothy Macha.  When he leaves prison, Jake is an unbeatable card player, thanks to the tips he has picked up from his cellmates.  He takes his revenge by humiliating Macha in her casino, and she repays the compliment by sending her henchmen after him.  Jake is saved by the enigmatic Zach, who offers his services as a bodyguard.  Caught up in a gang war between Macha and her pitiless rival, Lord John, Jake has no choice but to accept the offer...
