Drama
Film Synopsis
Willy Streblow has one passion in life, cycling, but he is poor.
He agrees to take part in a race sponsored by the factories belonging
to the rich Gina Stern. He wins the competition and a contract
which allows him to marry Hanni, the daughter of a bicycle seller.
From Jean Renoir to François Truffaut, French cinema has no shortage of truly great filmmakers, each bringing a unique approach to the art of filmmaking.
In the 1940s, the shadowy, skewed visual style of 1920s German expressionism was taken up by directors of American thrillers and psychological dramas, creating that distinctive film noir look.
