After the war, Marjoline, an attractive young woman, arrives in
Paris. She finds work as a manicurist in a luxury beauty salon
and marries Daniel, a young horticulturist. She could not be
happier when she is given a modern apartment as a present. To
furnish her new home, she soon ratchets up massive debts, much to the
distress of her husband. Marjoline's mania for spending soon
threatens her marriage...
