In the late 1970s, Eva is a 20-year-old who has grown tired of her life as
a stripper in a seedy Barcelona nightclub. On the spur of the
moment, she decides to chuck it all in and pursue her dream of living a 'normal'
life. She heads for France with the intention of finding an honest
job and an attentive husband with whom she can start a family. Arriving
in Paris, she finds accommodation with a supposedly gay friend, but before
either of them knows it they are deeply in love with the other. Could
Eva's dreams of a normal existence be threatened by an all-consuming passionate
love affair, or is this the beginning of what she had set her sights on,
her first step on the road to true and lasting happiness...?
