Film Synopsis

Select Hôtel is a haven for the dregs of humanity.  Situated near to the Place Clichy in Paris, its habitués include prostitutes, the hopelessly unemployed, drug addicts and petty criminals, who come here to lick their wounds and escape from a world that offers them little consolation.  Nathalie lives here with Tof, her brother.  A drug addict, Nathalie scrapes a living as a prostitute, exploited and abused by her pimp, Denis.  After a dispute with a shoemaker, Pierre, Tof ransacks his shop.  Instead of denouncing Tof to the police, Pierre finds himself strangely drawn to him and his sister...
