Jen will be 15 this year. Since the death of her father, she
lives alone with her young mother, Sarah, in Covina, a small town in
North America. One day, Ian, the half-brother of Jen's father,
turns up and offers to give the two women a helping hand. Jen
becomes fascinated by the newcomer, whose presence gradually drives the
mother and her daughter apart. One eventful night, Jen runs away
with Ian and the two seek refuge in the inhospitable forests of the
north. So begins a pitiless manhunt, and Jen will never be the
same again...

The best of Russian cinema
There's far more to Russian movies than the monumental works of Sergei Eisenstein - the wondrous films of Andrei Tarkovsky for one.
In the 1920s French cinema was at its most varied and stylish - witness the achievements of Abel Gance, Marcel L'Herbier, Jean Epstein and Jacques Feyder.
Since the 1920s, Hollywood has dominated the film industry, but that doesn't mean American cinema is all bad - America has produced so many great films that you could never watch them all in one lifetime.
