Film Synopsis

Chile, at the start of the 1970s.  Anna and Ben live alone, their only true friends being two Chilean sisters, Eve and Monica.  When Ben is abandoned in Santiago on the eve of the coup d'état in 1973, Anna is livid.  Eve is arrested by soldiers of the new Pinochet regime and tortured before being released.  Meanwhile, Anna begins a relationship with a Canadian journalist, Paul, who is compiling a report on recent developments in the country.  Anna and Ben plan to come to the aid of Eve, who is hiding in a convent.
