Documentary / Music
Film Synopsis
Each year, Mardi Gras is marked in New Orleans, Louisiana, by two weeks of
festivities that enliven the whole town. New Orleans has a reputation
as the most dangerous and deprived of the United States, but for those who
organise the flamboyant musical parades it is a chance to rescue the youngsters
from a life of penury and crime. Mardi Gras is more than a celebration,
it is an opportunity to liberate those who live on the margins and help them
find their way to a better life...

The very best of German cinema
German cinema was at its most inspired in the 1920s, strongly influenced by the expressionist movement, but it enjoyed a renaissance in the 1970s.
A wave of fresh talent in the late 1950s, early 1960s brought about a dramatic renaissance in French cinema, placing the auteur at the core of France's 7th art.
