Biography: life and films

Alfred Adam was a French actor. He was born in Asnières, Hauts-de-Seine, France on 4th April 1908 and died in Le Perreux-sur-Marne, Val-de-Marne, France on 7th May 1982, aged 74.

His best films as an actor include Marcel L'Herbier's La Vie de bohème (1945), Jean Stelli's La Foire aux femmes (1956), Raymond Rouleau's Les Sorcières de Salem (1957), Francis Blanche's comedy Tartarin de Tarascon (1962) and Mario Landi's Maigret à Pigalle (1967), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Claude Autant-Lara's Sylvie et le fantôme (1946), Guy Lefranc's Capitaine Pantoufle (1953) and Terence Young's 1-2-3-4 ou Les Collants noirs (1960).
