Martin Scorsese is an American film director, screenwriter and producer. He was born in Queens, New York, US on 17th November 1942.

His best films as a film director include Mean Streets (1973), Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), Goodfellas (1990) and The Departed (2006), and whose best work as an actor include Italianamerican (1974), American Boy: A Profile of: Steven Prince (1978) and Il Mio viaggio in Italia (1999).
