Film Synopsis

Anaïs is a young actress who is delighted when she is cast to play the lead in a production of Sarah Kane's stage play Psychose 4.48.  Under pressure from her demanding director Maurice Weltman, Anaïs goes off the rails and heads for London, in a desperate bid to find the play's author.  When she returns to France, the actress appears to believe that she is Sarah Kane, even to the extent of claiming authorship of her play.  Although Anaïs triumphs in her stage role, her close identification with Kane leads her to merge the boundaries between reality and imagination, with fatal results...
