Film Synopsis

Djemila, a 30-something lawyer, has finally managed to get her own apartment, albeit one that is just a stone's throw from her parents' home.  She does everything she can to conceal her North African origins, so determined is she to portray herself as the model French career woman.  Her neighbour Emma belongs to a very different world - she is having a hard time trying to bring up her two children on her modest income.  Even though the two women have nothing in common, they form a close bond through their love of music...
