Film Synopsis

To save his ailing newspaper, an editor has the bright idea of looking up people who have been involved in long-forgotten scandalous affairs and publishing stories on their private lives.  The first of his victims is a young woman, Elisa, who became a celebrity during a criminal trial.  Her reputation tarnished by this affair, Elisa married Pietro and together they raised Angela, the daughter that Elisa had with another man who was killed during the war.
