Comedy

Film Synopsis

Jean is a man in his mid-thirties who has come to resent the fact that his life has already been completely mapped out for him, with almost mathematical certainty.  He still lives with his mother in a small Corsican town and works as a chef in the family restaurant which will one day be his to manage.  Bored with everything, Jean secretly yearns for a dramatic change of direction in his life, and this is what comes to him, when he least expected it, on the day he meets Nora.  She is literally washed up at his feet after falling from her sailing boat.  It is like Manna from Heaven.

Taking this as a good omen, Jean makes full use of this providential encounter to re-orientate his life.  Nora will be the catalyst for his transformation!  Easily seduced by the feisty young woman who has just parachuted into his empty existence, Jean decides to go on a long car journey with her.  Fleeing his home, his family, his job and his frustrating old life, Jean discovers freedom for the first time, in the company of a remarkable individual who is about to make a changed man of him.  His adventures have only just begun...
