Je veux être actrice (2016)
Directed by Frédéric Sojcher

Documentary

Film Synopsis

Nastasjia, the daughter of filmmaker Frédéric Sojcher, is only ten years old but she is adamant about what she wants to be when she grows up: an actress.  She listens attentively as several prominent thespians of the stage and screen offer her some useful advice on how to become an actor.  She is indeed lucky - it is a distinguished ensemble that her father manages to find for her, one that includes Michael Lonsdale, Patrick Chesnais, Denis Podalydès, François Morel, Philippe Torreton and Jacques Weber.   Just what is an actor?  Just how do you create a character and learn your lines?  Acting is a craft like any others, one that can only be mastered with hard work and commitment.  If only Nastasjia can put into practice the advice she is given she will surely be a great actress, one day...
