Film Synopsis
Vincenzo, a young Italian, arrives in Holland to work in the
mines. He gets to know another Italian man, Federico, who has
worked in the mines for some time. Unlike his new friend,
Vincenzo doubts whether he will ever get used to this kind of work and
the miserable Dutch weather. One Friday evening, Federico invites
Vincenzo to accompany him to Amsterdam, where he meets his girlfriend,
Cori. Whilst walking alone in the red light district, Vincenzo
sees an attractive young woman at a window. Even though he knows
she is a prostitute, the Italian is keen to find out more about
her. The girl takes a liking to Vincenzo and the flame of romance
is soon ignited. But what can a modest girl from the streets
and a poor immigrant worker have to look forward to...?
