Le Convoi (2016)
Directed by Frédéric Schoendoerffer

Action / Thriller

Film Synopsis

What should have been a straightforward courier operation turns into something far more dangerous and eventful when seven men attempt to ship over a thousand kilograms of cannabis resin from Malaga in southern Spain to Creil in the north of France.  It is a long journey by road - 1.8 thousand kilometres - which is why the convoy consists of four souped-up cars, to minimise the chance of things going wrong.  For Alex, Imad, Majid, Yacine, Rémi, Elyes and Reda, the operations seems to offer no hazards, just an opportunity to burn up plenty of rubber on the motorway.

Things take an unexpected turn when one of the cars is stopped by a police barrage.  Then Nadia, a young French tourist bound for Morocco, finds herself mixed up in the drivers' frantic bid to evade capture by their police pursuers.  The meticulously planned trafficking operation turns into a nightmare for everyone involved, and Alex and his criminal associates now have to put their lives on the line if they are complete their nerve-racking mission...
