Drama
Film Synopsis
Victoria, a black girl from a humble background, has never forgotten
the night she once spent with a well-heeled family in Paris, at the
home of little Thomas. Many years later, she encounters Thomas
again. Their brief liaison results in the birth of a little girl,
Marie, but it is seven years before Victoria reveals this fact to
Thomas and his family. The latter are easily won over by Marie's
charms and offer to accommodate her on a regular basis. Victoria
gradually realises the consequences of this apparent generosity...

Continental Films, quality cinema under the Nazi Occupation

It was American film noir and pulp fiction that kick-started the craze for thrillers in 1950s France and made it one of the most popular and enduring genres.
