The life of Vincent Machot could hardly be more ordered and predictable.
He divides his time between his hairdressing salon, his cousin, his cat and
his over-intrusive mother. But even the most regimented and mundane
of lives can hold some unexpected surprises... One day, Vincent
runs into Rosalie Blum, a mysterious and solitary woman whom he is certain
he has met before - but where? Intrigued, he decides to follow her
around, in the hope of finding out something about her. He could hardly
have imagined where this apparently innocent piece of amateur detective work
would lead him. His life is about to change forever...
Continental Films, quality cinema under the Nazi Occupation
At the time of the Nazi Occupation of France during WWII, the German-run company Continental produced some of the finest films made in France in the 1940s.
Science-fiction came into its own in B-movies of the 1950s, but it remains a respected and popular genre, bursting into the mainstream in the late 1970s.
