Thriller

Film Synopsis

Martin may be a respected judge but that doesn't mean he is adverse to deviating from the rule of law if it suits his purpose.  Some may call him cynically opportunistic, but he likes to think he is adopting a flexible attitude in the pursuance of his professional duties.  In his eagerness to secure a conviction against the leader of a prostitution ring, he puts pressure on his mistress, a willing-to-please call girl, to give fake evidence in court.  Unfortunately for Martin, not everyone is willing to take things at face value.  Grégoire knows a rat when he smells one and something about this case causes him to think that the prosecution is playing fast and loose with the truth.

Grégoire is a resolutely honest police inspector who, unlike Martin, always puts integrity before personal gain.  Half-convinced that the judicial process is being perverted, he proceeds with his own investigation and begins to make some interesting discoveries.  With a disgustingly incorruptible cop now on his trail, poised to expose every last detail of his carefully planned deception, Martin decides that desperate measures are called for.  His only hope is Jeanne, a reporter who is covering the trial.  By seducing Jeanne, Martin hopes that he will gain himself a useful ally and a way to prevent his skulduggery from ever coming to light...
