Vilaine (2008)
Directed by Jean-Patrick Benes, Allan Mauduit

Comedy
aka: Ugly Melanie

Film Synopsis

Mélanie is an ordinary, dowdy looking girl with one fatal flaw.  She can't help being nice to people.  It seems that her sole mission in life is to please others, and so naturally everyone takes advantage of her.  Her mother, her boss, her friends - all play on her apparent naivety for their own gain.  But all is not what it seems.  Mélanie's apparent sanctity evaporates in an instant when a date with a man she thought would be the love of her life goes disastrously wrong.  So much for niceness.  So much for good deeds and forced smiles.  Now it is time for revenge...
