Donald Pleasence was an English actor. He was born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England on 5th October 1919 and died in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Alpes-Maritimes, France on 2nd February 1995, aged 75.

His best films as an actor include John Gilling's thriller The Flesh and the Fiends (1960), Roman Polanski's comedy-thriller Cul-de-sac (1966), Richard Fleischer's Fantastic Voyage (1966), George Lucas's THX 1138 (1971) and John Carpenter's Halloween (1978).
