Guy Gilles was a French film director and screenwriter. He was born in Algiers, Algeria on 25th August 1938 and died in Paris, France on 3rd February 1996, aged 57.

His best films as a film director include L'Amour à la mer (1963), 13 jours en France (1968) and Le Jardin qui bascule (1974), and whose best work as a screenwriter include L'Amour à la mer (1963), Le Clair de terre (1970) and Le Jardin qui bascule (1974).
