Beau rivage (2012)
Directed by Julien Donada

Drama / Romance / Fantasy

Film Synopsis

In present-day Nice, Michel Matarasso is a cop who has grown weary of his work and life in general.  He finally manages to get himself a leave of absence which will give him time to pull himself together.  He spends his solitary hours mulling over his empty life and wondering what it is he is pining for.  It is as this crucial moment that Sandra Bandini enters his life - a woman who commits suicide for reasons that are not at first apparent.  Straight away, Michel develops an intense, morbid interest in the dead woman and he becomes convinced that she is meant to be some kind of signpost, pointing him to the place he needs to go.  Michel's process of spiritual renewal has only just begun.  Who knows where it will end...
